How do I add a trip?
Tap "Log a Trip," enter the destination and business purpose, add the miles (or your
start and end odometer readings), choose the trip type, and save. It takes a few seconds.
Does Logbook track my location?
No. Logbook uses no GPS and does no background tracking. You record each trip yourself,
which keeps your log accurate and your battery untouched.
Can I export my log for my accountant?
Yes. You can export a clean CSV of your records any time, for free. Logbook Pro adds a
Schedule C-ready PDF report with per-vehicle totals and business-use percentage.
What is included in Logbook Pro?
Logbook Pro adds multiple vehicles, the Schedule C-ready PDF report, and one-tap frequent
trips. It is $9.99 per year and includes a 7-day free trial. Everything else — recording
trips, editing, viewing all years, CSV export, and backups — is free and always will be.
Where is my data stored, and how do I back it up?
All data is stored on your device. Use Backup in Settings to save a copy of your records
to a location you choose, and Restore to bring it back on a new device.
Does Logbook calculate my tax deduction?
No. Logbook keeps an accurate mileage record; your tax professional applies the current
IRS rates to it. This keeps the app simple and your figures in the right hands.
